Why I Stamp:
I began stamping years ago — before Stamp Stampede existed — with an original “Not to be used for Bribing Politicians / Amend the Constitution / Democracyisforpeople.org / @rulebyus” self-inking desk stamp which I suppose could now be considered vintage! I still use it and stamp money daily. At this point in time, I’d guess I’ve stamped hundreds if not thousands of bills. Despite not having an ID on the bills I stamp nor being a part of the Leaderboards or Sightings maps, I’m positively adamant that money corrupts our political system and should be removed from politics. The amount spent on political elections sickens me; so much good could be done for this country and its people with the billions that go into annual political campaigning — and in some cases, for only one term! Plus, it’s rewarding to watch a cashier, or any individual for that matter read the back of the bill, then smile, agree, and say to me, “Did you read this?!”
