Burned out on Sunday Meal Prep, are heat-and-eat services actually edible? 21 hours, 55 minutes agoI switched to CookUnity recently because they use local chefs rather than a central factory. The difference in texture is massive. The food actually tastes like takeout from a decent restaurant. Just be warned that the calorie counts can creep up on you if you aren’t selecting the “light” filter specifically.

I’ve been using Factor for about six months now because I have zero time to cook during tax season. The “Gourmet Plus” meals are surprisingly decent, especially the salmon dishes, which I expected to be dry. My only real hiccup was figuring out the delivery window because I live in a gated complex and the drivers sometimes get confused. I r…[Read more]

Purchased movie bundle vanished from my library before movie night! 21 hours, 57 minutes agoTry refreshing your licenses in the settings menu. Go to Settings > Apps > Google TV > Clear Cache. Sometimes the local data on the Chromecast or smart TV gets out of sync with the cloud server. If the receipt is in your Gmail, the license is definitely there; the app is likely just glitching on the display side.

I had this happen when I moved overseas last year. My payment profile was stuck between two regions, and it caused my Play Store purchases to temporarily hide themselves because of geoblocking errors. It was incredibly frustrating because I rely on my audiobooks for my commute. I had to verify my current location to get the library to reappear. I…[Read more]

Merging accounts for a Family Plan 22 hours agoDon’t worry, the transition is usually seamless. I added my daughter to my plan last month, and her XP and streak remained intact. The system just recognizes the email associated with her existing account and upgrades the status to “Super.” Just make sure she accepts the invite on the same device she normally uses.
-
I ran into a billing overlap when I joined my roommate’s plan. I had forgotten to cancel my individual monthly subscription before accepting his family invite, so I got charged for both simultaneously. It was a bit of a headache trying to navigate the refund policy since one charge was through the app store and the other was direct. I remember…[Read more]

Found a flight for $300 cheaper on an OTA 22 hours, 2 minutes agoThe savings are real, but so is the risk. If the airline changes the schedule (which happens constantly now), the third party has to reissue your ticket, and they are often slow to do so. I’d only risk it if you are traveling with just a carry-on and have flexible dates. If you need to be somewhere for a specific event, pay the extra to book direct.
-
I booked a multi-city trip to Europe through a smaller site because the price difference was massive, nearly $500. Everything went smoothly until I needed to add a checked bag for the return leg because I bought too many souvenirs. The airline’s website wouldn’t let me add it because the ticket was managed by an agency. I had to contact the agency…[Read more]

First-time wig buyer 22 hours, 4 minutes agoDry shampoo works wonders, but the key is to spray it from a distance—don’t blast the roots directly. After spraying, brush it through thoroughly with a wide-tooth comb. If that doesn’t cut the shine enough, try washing it with fabric softener mixed with water. It dulls the plastic sheen and makes the fibers softer.
-
The doll shine is the biggest struggle with affordable units. I tried the baby powder hack once and ruined a dark brunette bob because I couldn’t get the white cast out. Now I stick to glueless units that have a pre-plucked hairline because they tend to look more realistic regardless of the fiber type. When I was researching different brands to…[Read more]
