I woke up this morning to a puddle of water in my kitchen and a fridge that is reading 60 degrees. Apparently, the overnight firmware update caused the compressor to cycle incorrectly and burn out. I checked the manufacturer’s subreddit, and there are at least fifty other people reporting the exact same thing since Tuesday. Customer support is claiming it’s “normal wear and tear,” but my unit is only 14 months old. Is anyone else dealing with this? We need to band together because replacing a $300 part on a $2,000 fridge is unacceptable.
