My uncle was recently transferred to a federal facility out of state, and we are trying to figure out the best way to keep in contact. I know regular mail takes forever, and phone calls can get very expensive. I’ve heard there are secure electronic messaging systems available now. Can anyone explain how these platforms work? Is there a cost per message, and how long does it usually take for them to receive and reply?
