Last spring I returned a heavy power drill I never used because it was too large for my small projects. I had the receipt and a quick chat at the returns desk. They processed the refund without fuss. I used the money to buy a more appropriate cordless model that fits my needs.

I think it depends on expectations. Some people want a centerpiece that lasts years, others just want seasonal vibes. I’ve seen DIY setups with fairy lights and branches that looked surprisingly cozy and cost very little.

For me it’s rarely just one thing. Coverage might be okay, but small frustrations add up—slow data at busy times or plans that no longer match how I actually use my phone. Life changes, and habits change faster than contracts.

I try to picture my routine five years ahead. Jobs change, families grow, priorities shift. A loan shouldn’t trap you. Reading contracts slowly and asking “what if” questions has saved me stress more than chasing the lowest rate.
